My Mini Baby Mom & Baby Surprise: US Release Date, Price and Where to Buy ZURU's Pregnant Doll
Brittany, Maria and Nicky are up for preorder on Amazon.com at $24.99, and the US release is set for October 25. Removable belly, a baby hidden in a slime sac, and half the internet still arguing about it. Here's everything I could verify.

What is My Mini Baby Mom & Baby Surprise?
My Mini Baby Mom & Baby Surprise is ZURU's pregnant doll: three moms, each with a newborn hidden in her belly, out in the US on October 25, 2026 at $24.99.
Until now, My Mini Baby meant tiny silicone-feel newborns and their nursery sets. Then came this. A grown-up doll in a striped dress and a denim jacket, carrying one of those same babies inside. So where's the surprise, if you already know which doll you're buying? It's the birth itself. Amazon lists her as My Mini Mom & Baby Surprise, the box front says My Mini Baby with Mom & Baby Surprise underneath, and collectors use both names.
You'll see "Series 1" on some listings, but it isn't printed on the front of the box. The doll names aren't on the packaging either: Brittany, Maria and Nicky come from the retail listings.
I'll be honest: when I first saw the photos back in July, I thought it was one of those fakes that make the rounds on forums. It isn't. I write about ZURU from Spain, and over here she was on preorder months ago. The US is the last big market to get her, which is exactly why so many of you are searching for where to buy it. If you read Spanish, my My Mini Baby pregnancy doll guide (in Spanish) tracks the whole line.
Where to buy My Mini Baby Mom & Baby Surprise in the US and UK
| Market | Store | Price | Status (checked Oct 5, 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
| US | Amazon.com | $24.99 · pick your doll | Preorder, out Oct 25, 2026. Brittany temporarily out of stock |
| US | Target | Not listed | No result by name or UPC |
| US | Walmart | Not listed | No first-party listing found |
| UK | Smyths Toys | £19.99 · assortment | Home delivery out of stock, expected Oct 12 to 19. Click and collect in some stores |
| UK | Amazon.co.uk | Price not checked | Same three listings as Amazon.com |
Amazon.com is the only US store I found with real listings, one per doll, sold and shipped by Amazon. Is it coming to Target? Nobody has said so. I searched Target and Walmart by name and by all three UPCs and got nothing, so I'd preorder where it's actually listed rather than wait for a shelf tag that may never show up. Brittany is the popular one: she already carries a Best Seller badge and was the doll showing as temporarily out of stock.

Amazon.com release date for the preorders, $24.99 per doll.

Brittany, Maria and Nicky: the three dolls
Three moms, three color palettes, same outfit. Which one is yours? The differences are the skin tone, the hair and the color that runs through the baby's whole layette. Exact codes are in the table, handy if you're hunting by UPC.
| Doll | Look | Baby palette | Model · UPC | US ASIN |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brittany | Light skin, blue eyes, blonde hair | Pink | 17006A · 193052102393 | B0GCHBYQGC |
| Maria | Medium skin, brown eyes, brown hair | Blue | 17006B · 193052102409 | B0GCG6W64K |
| Nicky | Dark skin, wavy black hair | Lilac | 17006D · 193052106926 | B0GCFWPD4W |
Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk spell it Nicky, while some European listings use another spelling. And no, none of the three is rarer than the others: same price, same contents, different colors.
What's in the box
The mom, the baby, eight accessories and a birth certificate as the cherry on top. That count comes from the product photos and the retail listings, which match item by item. Seen a "stylish bag" in the Smyths description? There's no bag in any photo, so I'm leaving it off the list.
- 1 mom doll with a removable belly and a flip panel.
- 1 newborn baby in the matching color.
- 1 bunny-ear blanket, the My Mini Baby trademark.
- 1 bib and 1 diaper.
- 5 care accessories: white teddy bear, rattle, flower bottle, pump bottle and a sippy cup with handles.
- 1 cardboard birth certificate.

How the birth surprise works
Five steps, no batteries. The product photos confirm the basics: removable belly, a cavity with the baby, and a panel that flips for the after. The slime part has a catch, and I'll get to it.
🍼 The birth, step by step
How the Mom & Baby Surprise belly works
-
Take off the belly
The rounded front piece of the doll's tummy is removable: it comes off by hand.
-
Find the baby
Inside the belly cavity, the newborn is tucked into a soft, flexible sac.
-
Get the baby out of the sac
The sac is squeezed and opened, and the baby comes out with the slime. In a hands-on review the sac had to be cut, so expect it to be single use.
-
Wrap the baby up
Swaddle the newborn in the bunny-ear blanket and add the bib and the diaper.
-
Flip the belly panel
Push the compartment back and down to turn it around and leave the doll with a flat tummy after the birth.
"I can't think of another mass-market doll that turns giving birth into the play feature. And you can tell from the reactions." Víctor, after watching the viral unboxing three times
Is the slime reusable?
The big question with this doll, and the honest answer is probably not. In a detailed hands-on review on The Toy Box Philosopher, the sac had to be cut open and the gel spilled out. Does that kill the toy after day one? Not quite. The baby fits back in the cavity and the bump goes back on, so a kid can replay the birth as many times as they like, just without the slime.
This comes from one reviewer's doll, not from ZURU. ZURU hasn't put the instructions or a refill online, and Amazon doesn't say whether the slime is reusable. If that changes, this is the first line I'll update.
And the doll herself? The same review counts 9 points of articulation (neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists and hips) and no knees, with a plastic body and vinyl head and arms. She's close to Barbie in height, but she's wider through the torso, with longer legs and a bigger head, so don't assume Barbie clothes will fit.
Confirmed vs. unconfirmed
A toy that went viral before it hit US stores comes with a lot of noise. What holds up once you check it? This traffic light sorts it out.
Confirmed vs. rumor
What checks out on retail listings and official images, against what's going around without a source. Myths are crossed out; anything only unconfirmed is in amber.

Why the My Mini Mom & Baby Surprise went viral
Between July 17 and 22, this doll went from niche new release to mainstream news. The trigger was an unboxing by UK creator Louise Boyce, where the baby slides out of the sac, slime and all. People were surprised, people laughed, some hated it, and plenty argued that showing pregnancy in a doll beats pretending it doesn't exist.
A bit of context almost nobody gives: pregnant dolls aren't new, several brands have made them over the decades. What I can't remember is one that recreates the amniotic sac with a membrane and slime. That's the line some parents find educational and others find too much. ZURU sells it as nurturing play and stays well away from the debate.
My take: worth it or just hype?
It half wins me over. The execution is pure ZURU: a fair price, three dolls with real skin tone range, and that bit of spectacle that makes the unboxing share itself. The baby is from the same family as the regular My Mini Baby newborns, so it slots into any collection you already have.
Here's what holds me back. The whole hook lives in one moment, the birth, and the slime looks like a one-shot. After that you've got a fashion doll with a swappable bump and a baby, which is fine, but it's not the show anymore. Would I buy all three? Not on day one. One to try, though, for sure, and if I had to pick, Brittany sells out first.
Quick questions
When does My Mini Baby Mom & Baby Surprise come out in the US?
Amazon.com lists a release date of October 25, 2026 for the Maria and Nicky dolls, and takes preorders at $24.99 each, sold and shipped by Amazon. ZURU hasn't announced a different US date. In the UK, Smyths already had it listed by late July 2026.
Where can I buy My Mini Baby Mom & Baby Surprise? Is it at Target or Walmart?
In the US, Amazon.com is the only store I found selling it, with one listing per doll. When I checked on October 5, 2026, Target and Walmart had no listing for it, searching by name or by UPC. In the UK, Smyths sells it at £19.99 as an assortment, and Amazon.co.uk has the same three listings.
Is My Mini Mom & Baby Surprise a blind box?
No. Brittany, Maria and Nicky are sold as separate, named dolls on Amazon, so you pick the one you want. Smyths UK sells it as an assortment, which means the store picks the doll, but that's store logistics, not a blind box. There's no chase and no rare version.
Is the slime in the belly reusable?
Probably not. In a hands-on review, the sac that holds the baby had to be cut open and the gel spilled out, so treat it as a one-time surprise until ZURU says otherwise. The good news: the baby fits back in the belly and the bump goes back on, so you can replay the birth without the slime.
What comes in the box?
One mom doll with a removable belly, one newborn baby, a bunny-ear blanket, a bib, a diaper, five small care accessories and a cardboard birth certificate. Some UK listings mention a bag, but there's no bag in the product photos, so I wouldn't count on it.
Is the My Mini Baby mom doll the same size as Barbie?
Close in height, but not the same body. According to a hands-on review, she's wider through the torso, with longer legs and a bigger head, so Barbie clothes and shoes may not fit. She has 9 points of articulation and no knee joints.
